Tigres and FC Bayern to put 2 teams through Youth Cup

FC Bayern and Tigres announced through their social media that they will join forces to put two teams through the FC Bayern Youth Cup Mexico 2021.

Both teams exchanged messages via their Twitter accounts before their game for the title, in which they showed their commitment to the Mexican youth by taking care of all registration costs of two teams from underserved areas for the youth tournament’s first edition in Mexico that will take place this year.

The FC Bayern Youth Cup, is world’s biggest and oldest international youth soccer tournament run by a soccer club with over 100,000 young players having participated so far. Winning teams will take part in a five-day program in Munich, training with FC Bayern youth coaches as well as meeting first team players and attending a Bundesliga match at the Allianz Arena. The Mexican team will compete against teams from more than 10 countries including  Germany, Nigeria, Austria, and the United States.

The goal of the Youth Cup Mexico is to provide a forum in which Mexican Youth players can play each other, challenge themselves and test their abilities with the goal of being selected by an officer of FC Bayern to represent Mexico in the global final to take place in Munich.

The Youth Cup Mexico presented by Curveball Sports and TV4 will be carried out through a series of regional weekend-long tournaments in different cities where the winners will be selected to participate in the National Final, at which players will be selected to form a winning team of 10 to travel to Germany. This international event features boys competing in the U14 to U16s age group.
